Fudan Postdoctoral Fellowships in Applied Economic Studies

The School of Economics (SOE), Fudan University invites applications around the world for postdoctoral fellowships in applied economic studies. The purpose of this fellowship is to provide research and academic training for those who have interest in fields of finance, corporate governance, quantitative economics, regional economics, international trade and industrial economics. This research fellowship also provides some opportunity for top talents to compete for faculty positions in SOE, Fudan University.
What are the eligibility criteria?
To be eligible for this postdoctoral, a successful candidate must:
have a Ph.D. in fields related to economics, finance, mathematics and engineering;
have strong academic research record with at least one academic publication;
have strong English speaking and writing skills;
have excellent interpersonal, time management, and organization skills; and
have the ability to work both independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary research team.
When does the fellowship begin and how long it does last?
We accept applications in spring and fall each year. All applications must be submitted on-line before the mid of May for the spring intake and before the mid of November for the fall intake, respectively.
The fellowship lasts for 24 months. For example, a fellowship starting on 1 Sep, 2016 would end on 31 Aug, 2018. It is possible to extend the fellowship and the maximum period is no more than 4 years.
What does financial support include?
The offer of scholarships is available to outstanding local and foreign university Ph.Ds who are admissible to postdoctoral positions in SOE, Fudan University. The maximum period of award is 2 years. Please refer to the Ministry of Education (PRC) and the Postdoctoral Program Administrative Office for admission details, requirements and application forms as well as information on research scholarships.
A scholarship on a high plane is available for the faculty-oriented postdoctoral fellowship funded by School of Economics (SOE), Fudan University. Please refer to SOE for application details of faculty-oriented postdoctoral fellowship.
Additional stipends include the incentive bonus for certain candidates who have published papers on top journals in Chinese and SSCI journals. Please refer to SOE for research rewards policies for faculties.
Candidates are encouraged to apply for school offices in campus.
